In 2018 at the age of 57, Kathy Elkind and her husband Jim decided to take a grown-up gap year and hike the 1400 mile GR5 across the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. Walking for 98 days Kathy discovered her own wise strength and the gratifying realization that life on the trail is a lot like marriage; the hard work, the ups & downs also bring strength, wisdom & staggering beauty.
