Randolph Senior Center: Workshop Feb 12/Wed. at 1 pm -- learn to mend wool socks and sweaters. Everyone is invited to join us at the senior center (6 Hale Street in Randolph) for a 90-minute workshop with Josie Carothers who will show us how to mend our wool socks. An important Vermont winter activity! It's easy and pleasant and very satisfying to recover the use of your sturdy wool socks. What you will learn will not be fancy but will do the job. ** Bring a wool sock to mend.** A darning needle and yarn will be provided. Once you attain a neat technique, you might graduate to more visible clothing such as a sweater or scarf. (The technique is fast to explain.
