Community Conversation: Vermont's Civic Health Index

Thursday, February 13, 2025 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm02/13/2025 10:30pm Community Conversation: Vermont's Civic Health Index Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas recently released Vermont's first ever Civic Health Index – a report measuring how civically engaged Vermonters are across the state and in relation to the rest of the country. The report breaks this idea into six domains: volunteerism and donating, political engagement, social and community context, cultural access and engagement, media access and trust, and government access and trust. The report also includes findings from Vermont's first Youth Civic Health Survey, which was taken by over 2,500 young Vermonters last year. This is a starting point for a conversation about what's going well, and what we need to do next – and we need your input! We're holding a series of community conversations across the state. Come to Barre's Aldrich Public Library Thursday evening to learn more about the report and weigh in on next steps!
