Dance of Hope from Uganda will bring their inspiring performance to Chandler Music Hall on Friday, April 11 at 7 PM. This free family-friendly show celebrates hope, resilience, and cultural exchange. The group highlights the strength and potential of youth who have overcome significant challenges, originating from communities affected by conflict and poverty. Through their artistry, these young dancers and musicians demonstrate the healing power of movement and the universal language of dance. Dance of Hope's public performance is free to the public and coincides with the opening of the local student art show in Chandler Gallery featuring works by students from 9 schools across the region. The art show, "Brushstrokes for Wellness," centers on art as an outlet for expression and form of therapy. The reception will feature crafting and refreshments and starts at 5 PM.
