This joyful and heartfelt celebration of song aims to bring light to the darkest time of year. Known for their stunning four-part harmonies and dedication to traditional music from around the world, Windborne will draw on midwinter music spanning continents and centuries—from traditional American and British Isles folk songs to classical pieces and beyond. The quartet's lush vocals and warm stage presence create an intimate and uplifting atmosphere that has captivated audiences worldwide. Windborne—featuring Lauren Breunig, Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, and Will Rowan—has spent two decades mastering the art of polyphonic singing, studying with traditional singers in Corsica, the Republic of Georgia, Bulgaria, Quebec, and beyond. In a special departure from their typical performances, this holiday program features added instrumentation that accentuates the festive spirit. Audiences will experience the rich textures of banjos and guitars alongside the distinctive sounds of Lithuanian kanklės and Irish bodhrán, creating a multicultural musical tapestry.
