Simone Dinnerstein Billboard #1 Pianist Plays Chandler
Join us Saturday March 21st at 3PM for a classical piano concert by Simone Dinnerstein, "an artist of strikingly original ideas and irrefutable integrity." (The Washington Post) All 15 of her albums have topped the Billboard classical charts.
This Saturday afternoon's performance will include works featured on two of those #1 albums, including J. S. Bach's Inventions (recorded in 2014), as well as pieces by Philip Glass and Franz Schubert (recorded in 2020): Glass' Etude No. 2 and Etude No. 16, and Schubert's Sonata in Bb, D 960.
Dinnerstein studied at Julliard, and has built an international career of remarkable range. She has played with orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai; and has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Seoul Arts Center, and the Sydney Opera House.
A long-time supporter of Chandler Center for the Arts, she's performed well over a dozen times in Chandler Music Hall, including a concert to raise funds for major renovations of Chandler's Steinway grand piano.
