Bluegrass Concert + Workshop at Chandler

Friday, March 14, 2025 - 5:00pm to 9:00pm03/14/2025 9:00pm Bluegrass Concert + Workshop at Chandler Join us Friday, March 14th for an evening of music with Ethan Setiawan & Fine Ground! Ethan and his band will lead a free musician's workshop from 5:00-6:00 PM, followed by an intimate performance in the Esther Mesh Room at 7:00 PM (tickets starting at $10). This will be the 5th performance at Chandler since early 2020 for the Berklee College of Music grad, but his first with Fine Ground. Previous visits to Randolph have included shows with Hildaland, Corner House, Andrew Finn Magill, and Acoustic Nomads. Patrons who attended those concerts know Friday's performance will be a treat. Chandler board member and instrument maker Andy Mueller said, "I've had the pleasure of seeing Ethan play in a lot of different contexts, and his playful virtuosity never disappoints. Each musician in Fine Ground (Julian Pinelli on fiddle, Brittany Karlson on bass, Alex Rubin on guitar, and BB Bowness on banjo) presents a similar degree of technical proficiency and musical expressiveness. Acoustic music lovers, buckle up and prepare for take-off!" The workshop will explore musical improvisation through a variety of games and techniques to help with creativity and generating musical ideas. Musicians who play in any style are welcome.
