Drum Workshop in the Park This Sunday - Drums Provided

Sunday, June 21, 2026 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm06/21/2026 4:00pm Drum Workshop in the Park This Sunday - Drums Provided As part of Make Music Day 2026, drummers Assane Coly and Daiki Hirano will lead a drum workshop and drum circle, with djembe drums provided care of Stuart Paton (Founder and Artistic Director of Burlington Taiko)...or bring your own drum. The workshop takes place this Sunday, June 21st at the Randolph recreation fields (near the town pool). Assane Coly is a master Senegalese percussionist based in Burlington, known for his work on djembe, sabar, and other West African drums. Daiki Hirano is a first-generation Japanese American percussionist whose work lives at the intersection of Haitian, Latin American, rock, and Japanese taiko traditions. Other musical events that will be happening in the park include: 11:00-12:00 Beth Telford's Violin Student Showcase 12:00-1:00 Drum Circle 1:15-2:15 All the Rivers - showcase performance 2:30-3:30 MINC (Vermont teen pop sensations) And don't miss All the Rivers live at Chandler Music Hall at 6:30 PM!
