Teen Art Afternoons - Weds at the Craft Center!

Wednesday, January 28, 2026 (All day)01/28/2026 5:00am Teen Art Afternoons - Weds at the Craft Center! Teen Art Afternoons Wednesdays, 3-5pm Starts this week! January 28th! White River Craft Center, 50 Randolph Ave, Randolph http://whiterivercraftcenter.org A relaxed, creative space for teens ages 13+ to explore art their own way. Each week, students connect with working artists from our community to learn about their creative process, influences, and favorite materials. Projects are self-guided and flexible — no experience needed. Everyone is welcome, exactly as they are. Art Afternoons offer a safe, supportive place to gather after school. Sessions include a healthy snack, time to connect with peers, optional outdoor breaks (weather permitting), and casual, discussion-based art learning. Teens will talk with artists about their work and inspiration, with opportunities for skill-building depending on the week's guest artist. This program also supports local artists by giving them space to share their practice, build community, and engage with youth in meaningful ways. About the Instructor Kate Branstetter is a devoted WRCC board member, community advocate, and ally to Vermont youth. When Kate isn't making art, you might find them volunteering, teaching in schools, libraries, or theater programs, working at their gallery Black Meadow, or adventuring with their family. Kate loves drawing comics, collage, and clothing design. They have extensive training in graphic design, darkroom photography, and bead embroidery. Sliding Scale & Scholarships $25 / $50 / $75 per month Choose the level that works best for your family. Full scholarships are available. We want everyone who's interested to be able to participate!
