The midterm elections are less than 50 days away, and we've been getting inquiries from Vermonters around the state about how to participate and support fair and free midterms this year. The first step: help more Vermonters get informed and vote. On Wednesday, September 30th in Randolph, we'll be hosting a Get out the Vote event and potluck to help prep you for this midterm. This event will include: 1. Information and messaging on how to talk to your neighbors and community members about the midterm election 2. Postcards to write to neighbors and friends encouraging them to vote 3. Sign-ups for virtual phonebanks throughout October At the ACLU of Vermont, we don't support candidates or political parties and will be focusing on encouraging voting your values and voting for civil rights this election season. Voter turnout for the midterm elections is historically low; let's change that this year in Vermont.
