Peace on Earth
Tuesday, November 12, 2024 - 5:30pm to 7:00pm11/12/2024 10:30pm
Peace on Earth
Healing with Love
Let There Be Peace on Earth
And Let it Begin With Me
Imagine if everyone on earth was filled with peace. Peace that is not contingent on what is happening around us.
This Peace is already inside of us, every moment, every one of us. It is our True Self, also called the Big Self.
This is: " The peace of God that passes all understanding".
Join me in accessing your True Self using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. We will include polyvagal exercises to soothe our nervous systems.
Our True Self is what heals us. With access to our True Self we can be compassionately present to the parts of us and others that carry the burden of old wounding, emotions, beliefs. With the power of the Love that is already inside of us, we can heal the emotional burdens of the past. Over time our parts will look to the larger Self for guidance and soothing.
And then we can choose to live a life that is Self Led rather than led by our wounded parts, our fears, our angers, our past.
My hope is that this will become a daily practice. So that we can achieve Peace on Earth, one person at a time. And it starts with you (and me).
Start date: Tuesday, September 17, 2024
Start time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: 1153 VT Route 66, Randolph, VT
End date: Tuesday, November 26, 2024 (10 sessions)
Cost: $40 per session. We can bill your insurance for group therapy, if applicable.
Please contact Marge Crowe, MSW to register or with questions at:

Gifford Community Forum
Tuesday, November 12, 2024 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm11/12/2024 11:00pm
Gifford Community Forum
Leaders from Gifford Health Care invite community members to a forum to discuss the future of Gifford and access to rural health care in the White River Valley of central Vermont. The community forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Judd Hall Gym on the Randolph Center campus of Vermont State University (formerly Vermont Technical College).
Patients and community members are encouraged to attend the forum to share their experiences with Gifford and voice their concerns following a recently released report by consultant Oliver Wyman. The report, ordered under Act 167 by the Green Mountain Care Board, the state's health care regulator, recommends closing or repurposing Gifford's hospital inpatient unit, renowned Birthing Center, and Emergency Department, among other suggestions. Hospitals throughout the state have disputed the recommendations and the data used to support them.
"Our team will always be open, honest, and direct about the challenges we face," said Gifford President and CEO Michael Costa, referring to points the report raises concerning health care affordability, Vermont's demographic crisis, and the need for investments in housing and transportation to strengthen our communities and health care system. "The real risk isn't the report—it's losing the trust and commitment of our patients, team, and community. We ask you to stand by us, just as we stand by ready to care for you."
At the state level, the Vermont Agency of Human Services is expected to assess the feasibility of the report's recommendations. Gifford is already working closely with state officials. It is crucial that state officials and local legislators hear the voice of community members, patients, and health care workers.
"We will be part of the conversation about the future of health care in Vermont, and we will take the opportunity to explain our region's needs and the value of our work," said Costa.
Judd Hall Gym is located at 124 Admin Drive, Randolph Center. For more information about the community forum, call 802-728-2380.
CONTACT: Maryellen Apelquist, Communications Manager, mapelquist@giffordhealthcare.org

Dead Street Dreamers:
Vermont's Dead Street Dreamers formed during the lockdown of 2021. These longtime friends wanted to create a band that was a positive addition to their local punk rock scene. Taking influences from legendary underground bands like The Stooges, MC5, Black Flag, and Minor Threat, the band set out to write songs about injustice, rebellion, struggling towns, love, and heartbreak—all while making sure the audience has fun.
When asked about the origin of the band's name, vocalist Nathan Hale said, "We live in heavy times and still keep going. We are in a failing economy trying to survive every day. We are dreamers in a broken nation."
Mr. Doubtfire:
"THESE GUYS SOUND REALLY GOOD."...as quoted by the Burlington Police.
Hailing from Burlington, Vermont, Mr. Doubtfire brings their brand of energetic pop-punk to any location that will have them, ensuring a good time for all.
Vallory Falls:
From the western side of Vermont, this pop-punk emo band encapsulates the raw emotion and vibrant energy of their New England surroundings. With roots firmly planted in the local DIY scene, these four friends have crafted a sound that effortlessly blends the infectious melodies of pop-punk with introspective, heart-on-sleeve lyricism. Born out of Massachusetts, the band has evolved over the years to its current lineup. Their lyrics delve into themes of love, loss, and resilience, resonating with fans who find solace and solidarity in their relatable narratives.
Mystery Girl:
Power Pop/Glam from Albany, NY.

Peace on Earth
Tuesday, November 19, 2024 - 5:30pm to 7:00pm11/19/2024 10:30pm
